LIFE RELEASE IS THE PRACTICE OF RESCUING ANIMALS IN DANGER OF DEATH AND RETURNING THEM TO THEIR NATURAL ENVIRONMENT

We consider taking a life to be negative and unethical, while saving a life is a gesture of great significance, capable of arousing compassion for all living beings.

By freeing them and offering them a new chance at life, we hope they find well-being and happiness.

PROTECTOR OF LIVES

The Protector of Lives network, inspired by Pema Wangyal Rinpoche, brings together groups in several countries – Portugal, Brazil, the Netherlands, Angola, and many others – dedicated to freeing animals from imminent death.

Although it originated in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, the life release practice does not require any religious affiliation: anyone can participate, motivated solely by the desire to extend the lives of animals that would otherwise be killed – including earthworms, fish, crabs, lobsters, chickens, pigs, cows, horses and many others.

Rinpoche aspires that, through these collective actions, millions of lives will be preserved each year.

OUR ACTIVITY

Our group was founded in 2011, motivated by the desire of an animal lover to establish a regular life-saving practice. Since 2020, we have been part of the Protector of Lives network, composed of rescue groups in various countries.

Over the years, more and more people have supported the project with donations or by volunteering, allowing many lives to be saved.

Our "life release meter" has accumulated thousands of lives protected, demonstrating the impact that collective action can generate.
