GRAD Brasil (Animal Disaster Response Group) operates throughout the country rescuing and caring for animals affected by floods, fires, and other natural disasters. Made up of volunteers and professionals from different fields—such as veterinarians, biologists, and civilian firefighters—the group works to save lives, reduce suffering, and support families facing emergency situations.

During operations, teams carry out rescues in high-risk areas, provide veterinary care, offer shelter and food, and collaborate with public agencies and local organizations. Each action is guided by the One Health principle, which recognizes the connection between human, animal, and environmental health.

In addition to fieldwork, GRAD promotes training and prevention campaigns, strengthening communities' preparedness for disasters.
